Kathryn and Ivan Joe Miles
Kathryn and Joe Miles recognize a good education as the most effective and efficient vehicle to an improved quality of life. Together, they have chosen to convert this observation into a shared commitment to focus their volunteer and philanthropic efforts on educational pursuits. A-State's research initiatives are avenues to discovery worthy of investment; a true investment in the future. The Mileses believe initiatives associated with biotechnology, agriculture, economic development and community engagement can and will enhance the quality of life for not only the individual seeking that education, but also many others worldwide. At this stage in their lives, Kathryn and Joe decided to establish a Charitable Remainder Trust to assist in benefiting Arkansas State's dedication to its students and communities. "We are hopeful our investment will help others realize dreams that may appear out of reach. Arkansas State University was certainly our springboard to such an opportunity."
